Festival Swing in the Mountains - Soirée Gospel "Spécial Assomption"

From 10 to 15 August, Serre Chevalier welcomes the 20th edition of the Swing in the Mountains Festival, in a convivial atmosphere.
It's a chance for American jazz singer and festival patron Dénia Ridley and jazz pianist Jo Kaiat to perform.
This year's programme is set to be rich and varied, with singing workshops, jazz, blues, gospel, concerts and a gathering of choristers from all over the world, the Gospel Mass Choir (registration required).
10-13 August: gospel and vocal jazz workshop, from 5pm to 7pm at the Salle du Dôme (Monêtier les Bains)
12 August: Jo Kaiat concert, 8.30pm, Salle du Serre d'Aigle (Chantemerle)
13 August: Denia Ridley concert at 8.30pm, Salle de la Maison de la Montagne (Villeneuve)
15 August: concert by the "Gospel Mass Choir", artistic director: Dénia Ridley, 8.30pm at the Salle du Dôme (Mônetier les Bains)
Dénia Ridley is a jazz singer who elegantly interprets the jazz standards of great artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan and Billie Holiday. She has performed at numerous festivals in Europe, including the Festival des Jazz in Madrid, JazzOff in Nice and the Festival Internazionale di Jazz in Tosacana. She has also sung for a number of well-known artists, including Italian pianist Dado Moroni and Dutch double bassist Jack Sewing.
